On Camera

Hey, I’m Brian Welch and this is the website where you’ll find my demos, my credits and more pictures of me than even my wife and kids have use for (which is basically all of them). A little background first – I’ve been performing professionally as an actor and a voice over artist for over 30 years. My parents raised my sister and I on a cattle ranch in South Georgia, and though I spent a good deal of my childhood sweating out farm chores, I always found time to perform – writing and producing radio programs on my Bell and Howell tape recorder, putting on magic shows for select family members and eventually starring in several high school theater productions. I now reside in Atlanta, GA. 

I got my first big break on the national scene when I was cast as Ward Flickerson, a television-headed family man who introduced music videos to teenagers in the
early ‘90s on “TBS Night Flicks.” A few years later, after doing some stage work as an improv actor in Atlanta, I was back on TBS for an early career highlight when I had the honor of working with comic genius and improv actor legend Fred Willard on “The New Year’s Comedy Cure” https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=98xHbAUVdO0 

Then on Thursday nights in prime time from 2001-2003, I signed on to play a wacky entertainment reporter known as “The Roving Instigator” for the TBS franchise “The Movie Break.”  As the “Instigator” I got to mix it up with wrestlers, bull riders, Cirque du Soliel acrobats, hydro-colonic therapists, stuntmen, professional figure skaters, special effects experts … oh, and Penn and Teller. More recently, I have appeared in scripted television dramas and a variety of commercials (conflicts available upon request). I also do work as an on-camera host for corporate videos and as an event host for live corporate functions.
